I use various stuff depending on the sheen I want. The seats ar airbrushed with Tamiya XF-1(Flat black)and also Testor's Dullcoat after decalling. The side panels are Tamiya TS29(Semi-Gloss Black) with Testor's Dullcote to seal in the decals.

If only that "Richard Burns" decal on the driver's side door was still true. Poor Subaru is getting demolished this year.

Although the Impreza is my favourite, go Hollywood!

Beautiful work. When did they start using a tan dashboard? I thought they were black?

I would think that tan would cause reflections in the windshield making it harder to see in already difficult conditions. Alas I don't have Speed Channel, so I haven't kept up w/the racing lately.

Time to get that monitor color calibrated. The dash is a "dove" grey color...and it's been that color on all the 555 Imprezza's that I've seen.

The dash is actually a fairly light gray(Tamiya Neutral Grey Acrylic)called for in in instructions. Blame it on the contrast enhancement I used in Paintshop Pro 7. It's accurate to pics I got off of Subaru's WRC site.

I have some nice cloth tape I got years ago. Iuse photo-etch buckkles and make the center section to match decals from soda can aluminum. Use kit sabelt decal cut from belt decal.

Here is a color corrected pic showing the dash color better. I take my pictures inside without flash which makes them a little yellow so I have to correct for that.

When you say "center sections", do you mean the shoulder pads under the decals? Either way, very nice execution of the belts. I know those photo-etched seatblets are a pain for assemble!

No, the pads are just an extra piece of wider tape over the belt. I meant the piece that the crotch straps attach to and the center disk. I have a punch for the disk. If you look carefully at the kit supplied decals you will know what I mean. I try to model after them.
