Cops, Go Suck A Lemon!!!! !@$#

K so im cruzing with my friend, he has a stock protege, now we were making fast turns, and i drifted one turn and i was sooooo lucky cuz 2 cops were right there checking for an alarm warning... FUCK MY LIFE!

K i tried to drive the fuck away, and since they werent in their cars, i thought it would be all good after 5 minutes of driving... then one of the cops passed me right in front of me in an intersection and saw me and turned around and caught me...

I didnt race away cuz my car isnt fast enough to ditch an explorer, so i pulled into a parking lot and they came up by my window...

"Do you know why i pulled you over?"

Im like: "No"

Cop: "You were the one that was drifting on that street"

Im like: "No"

Cop: "Then why would you have the same license plate number?"
I didn't think he could see my license plate that late at night and by the time he shined a light at me, i was pretty far away... but apparently he saw it...

Im like: "I wasnt drifting, i made the turn too early and i slide on the gravel on the side of the road..."

Now that is the perfect excuse for drifting and he couldnt do anything...

So he is pissed, and he said: "K"

He looked around the car and came up to me and like: "You dont have your license plate in the front, its inside your wind shield and you cant have it there..." EVERYONE HERE PUT THEIR LICENSE PLATE IN THEIR GOD DAMN WIND SHIELD... "You have a sticker on your wind shield and you cant have a sticker" Dumb i know... PLENTY ppl have stickers on their wind shield... Last, he said "Your mufflers arent legal either.." Im like why arent they legal? he said "cuz they arent C something something passed" Im like "okay watever just give me the fines..."

So he fined me $72 on mufflers, $72 on license plate, and $70 on the damn sticker!!!

These are ASSHOLE charges, everyone has louder exhaust then me, they have license plates inisde and they have FAT banners across the windshield and stickers everywhere, and they have to pick on me just becuz they couldnt prove that i was drifting...

FUCK MY LIFE, that was the ONLY turn i drifted too... so now im out $214 bucks...

edit: i forgot to mention, about the liscense plate thing, just cuz everyone else does it doesnt mean its legal, and if a cop wants to single you out for it, just you specifically, he can, so just make it so he cant, put it where it belongs, on your front bumper, then thats one less issue you have to worry about

Come on up here see what happens . The "drifting" you are talking about would be a " Failing to drive in a marked lane " charge or worse. Call them all the names you want ,you won`t beat them. They`ll take great satisfaction in ridin` your ass.

cops will get you for anything and everything... that's how they get paid... dumbass move or not, it's the truth. and honestly with the turbo remark, it won't really increase his low rpm power/speed. it will have to do mainly with his mid-to high rpm and that's where the peak power will be made/noticed... wait til you feel the pull for the first time.... Umm, sorry - in a FWD car it's called skidding, not drifting. The purpose of drifting is to point the car into a turn while the drive wheels are spinning allowing the drive wheels to drift out behind the front of the car. It's a controlled oversteer. The reason a front wheel drive car can't drift is because it doesn't need to. Even if you handbrake the rear wheels out during a turn, you're just using up energy that could otherwise be moving you forward.

Drifting a FWD car is a lot like a kid on a bicycle sliding to a stop while skidding his rear tire out like he's cool. Sorry...

Where i live cops are notorious for pulling people over all the time.

I'm out of inspection, registration on vehicle is incorrect ( i have the right ones, but i get new ones every year i got too lazy this year to even put em on since its only on the road for 2 mos.) No front plate on the car ( not even in the window) and a car that sticks out like a sore thumb. I have never been pulled over in my life, you just have to respect the rules of the road and don't push your luck.

There are plenty of ways to drive aggressively, race, autocross, "drift", or show-off legally. You can join your local sports car club and autocross for cheap. You don't even have to have that fast of a car for it to be fun.

You can't really expect cops to turn a blind eye when you do something brazen. I know you're just having fun, but could you imagine if the cops never went after "racers"? The streets would be even more chaotic than they already are.

one thing i just thought of...if your mufflers aren't CARB legal (the C word you couldnt think of) then this whole turbo setup is going to get you in a ton of trouble. The police are going to have a fun time racking up charges on you once you get pulled over....
