I own 1995 Grand Am SE V6 3.1L with 165,000. I currently have basic 7mm plug wires with basic champion spark plugs. The wires are about 2 years old and the plugs 1 year. I would like to upgrade to 8.5 mm MSD plug wires. Do I need to buy better spark plugs as well or are will the ones that I have be good enough? Also, since my car as high mileage, will upgrading the wires or plugs be hard on the engine?

Don't need to upgrade plugs with the wires, but AC Delco Iridium plugs are AWESOME.

Any parts store should carry them, they are not cheap though. About $6 each, but IMO worth every penny
