muffler for a 98 dx automatic

I have a 98 Civic DX coupe, automatic trans; want to put on a new muffler...want a gooooood sound (low, not annoying, not that "cheap ricey sound" if at all possible). in other words, looking for quality sound over minor performance enhancement.

first, am i wasting my time wanting to get a good sound out of an automatic?

What specific mufflers do you recommend?

i've looked at a local muffler shop...they mainly do trucks, etc. all they have is Magnaflow. Any good for imports?
