Install rocker panel

I need to take off my damaged rocker panel on the passenger side and install a new one. I am not sure how to take it off as I am not very knowlagable about cars. It has clips all down it that look like rubber screws but no screwdriver fit into them. How do you get it off and reinstall it. It looks simple but I have never done this before and I dont want to break it. Thanks

You should post the year of year Alero. Not sure of the differences between a '99 and '02 model but on my rocker panel there are approximately 6 plastic screws with plastic push on/pull out retaining plugs that you can use a cross-tip (Philips) screwdriver on. Once these plastic screws are loosened the plastic retaining plug can be removed. Just pull down to remove the fasteners and the rocker panel should come off.

You're welcome. Also, I forgot to mention the two additional fasteners that hold the rocker panel to the inner part of the front fender and the rear quarter panel.
