Okay so i was looking here for a 7bolt 4g63 for my 99 eclipse
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/JDM-4...33365455QQrdZ1

to replace my engine. The only thing that worries me is that it says 1995-1996 and then in the details it says 1995-1999. Will this fit my car? I dont need headaches so i just want to put it right in with little or no worries.

I was thinking about doing a 6bolt swap but i think im gonna sell this car get and get a 1g awd and then a nice reliable car....

The only reason it would say 95-96 is because the location of the cam angle sensor which on the 2gb's (97-99) is on the left side of the engine. It will work fine.

Cool man thanks!

So there will be no modification at all??...The dude said i would have to replace the manifolds with the stock american manifolds because of the JDM engine and the emissions they have out there....

ok the first one is the better deal because it comes with more stuff. But I'm assuming you live in the states and that makes the second one probably better for you because you won't have to pay border taxes and you already have everything else that the first one doesn't have. As for will it work, the answer is yes, essentially it is the same engine as yours just a few slight differences. I know the CAS is different so that will need to be changed, the throttle body and probably the Intake manifold are different I think but I think the ones you have will swap right on no problems. I don't have a lot of experience with JDM engines hopefully someone else on here might know better.
