speedometer sticking

I just replaced my speedometer on 96 Taurus. Speedometer works fine up to 65mph (normal movement of needle for acceleration and deceleration) then stops at 65mph and hangs there until I brake at which point the needle moves downward normally. Suggestions?

i had the same thing happen on a 92. check your fuse panel. mine ended up being just a loose fuse
