car stereo help

hey i'm just about to hook a stereo in my car (2001 GA se) but i've been hearing things about an adaptor i need for a deck 2 be hooked up i duno but if anybody has ne more info on this i'd rly like it thx

Yea if you have steering wheel controls an adapter is needed for that PFYC.com sells them(or did) plus the most audio stores and maybe the stealership.

Plus thiers a factory amp located in the trunk, driversside.

well what happens When u disconnect the radio you lose your door chimes which to me i dont care so i didnt bother trying to get an adapter to relocate the radio but you can do it, but to just hook the radio up you can splice the wires but thats a pain its best to just go to autozone and get a wire harness for watever year GA you have i had to get mine ordered and they mailed it to me, The wire harness makes life easier you dont have to worry bout cuttin anything just hook that up to the wires and then just attach it to the aftermarket Headunit... if u need any questions lemme know
