1991 350SD Transmission

Is there a suggestion as to who to diagnose, fix or rebuild my transmission in the Marietta, Kennesaw, Atlanta area. With no forewarning, it only works in Reverse and partially in the lowest forward gear. As soon as it upshifts, it feels as though I have pushed-in a non-existent clutch pedal.
