97 Lumina flickring lights

I have 97 Lumina with 3.1 engine. My lights keep flickering and the dome light does not work when doors open. The dome light works with dimmer switch. I had the Battery and Alternator tested, they are working fine. I have checked all the cables, they seem to be tight. I read while back someone mentioned about a relay or fuse on the driver side that could make the lights flicker? Does anybody know where the dome light switches are in the doors or how the dome light works.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

the door jamb switch is part of the door latch/power lock actuator assembly. There is no separate pin switch in the door jamb like the old cars had.

As far as the flickering, I'd suspect a bad DRL module.

Some GM vehicles have this issue (flickering lights)and it has been traced to a faulty ground for the alternator. There is a kit(screw and washer) available to "fix" the problem. Here is a TSB that mentions the problem:TSB01-06-03-005 . You also might want to check your battery connections to make sure they are tight.

i have a '97 as well. i have noticed this. i wouldnt say mine "flicker' - i'd say that they pulsate (dim, bright, dim, bright) and it seems to match engine RPM's while I am at stop lights, etc.

is this the same thing?
