What I need to know is are the rear brakes on a GSX the same as my GS. I have tried comparing part numbers from rotors and pads and they seem to be the same but then some things point to them being different. And do the gsx are the e-brake as a drum in the rear rotors? Also what year gsx would the brakes be the same?

I think they all the same, when I did my 97 rs drum to disc brake, I read ton of thread, and I remember they all the same.

Thanks for the response killa

What been going on with AF lately, this place has been dead for the past couple weeks. Anyways I have spent another hour or so looking at this stuff and then I was on RRE looking at brake lines and it said something about vented rotors on the rear. I know mine are solid but did some of the AWD come with vented rear? Im sure this would mean I couldn't use the rotors but are the pads the same still?

Well, not entirely killa. There were only a few that got vented rears and I happen to have a set of them. I think it was just like the first month of production for '95 models though.

So the rear brakes on my car are the same as say a 98 gsx?
