Base the slowest model?

All of the z's have the same engine. I was just wondering how much slower the base model is than the touring/track model? Obviously the tour/track model have an LSD for even grip and acceleration which will translate to better handling. I know this is more of a track car, and not a drag car, but I am curious about the base 0-60 and 0-100 compared to the touring/track model. I currently Have a brand new RSX type-S (4800 Miles), and I am thinking about getting a Z. Any help would be much appreciated.

I have an answer.....I think they would all be about the same as far as speed goes in a straight line. Now speed through cornering and all that, the LSD will provide more power to the road. But all in all, I think all the models, being that theyhave the exact same engine, are probably equally as fast.

Hahaha...thanks man, I get a lot of compliments on it :D

And yeh, I post in the RSX Forum. I am trying to get as much feedback on the potential of the RSXs, because I am considering buying one. :D

yeah, as far as pure acceleration goes, all of the models perform the same. wow i am surprized that it took that many views to get an answer for this relatively easy question.

All 287HP right, so think about that and then how much each model weighs. I think the lowest model would be the lightest, off the line its the fastest (1/4) but on the track I am sure the track model is the best in handling and stopping.

Yeh, I didn't even consider the weight differences. So yeh, in 1/4 mile times or even 0-60, the base model, with nothing on it would probably be just a tiny bit faster, but probably nothing exciting or anything.

all else being equal the base should be the quickest...check out the weights:
