Need 95 YJ Steering Column or part

While replacing my turn signal switch, I broke the clip off a pot-metal part that actuates the push rod leading to the ignition switch. The clip I broke holds the pushrod in the actuator, so w/o that clip I'm sort of stuck. Is there any chance I could scavenge this part if one of you has a trashed steering column for this (or similar) make/model? I'd be willing to pay for the part...name your price. I don't think this matters for the part, but it's a floor-shift, no tilt, no-pulse wiper.

I've tried the salvage yards around town and they are asking $250 (min.) for the entire steering column. Same with new part...they only sell the steering column as a whole part. I'm not above creative engineering as a workaround, so any info or ideas would be appreciated.
