Manualy Retreve Abs Trouble Codes

I there a way to retrieve ABS codes without the scanner. I read some sites on the net that you can jump something and read the codes buy blinking light. Can that be done? Or is it something that was only useful for older car. Thank you.

In fact you need an ABS capable scann tool and those free scans at the parts stores usually don not read those.

Most small shops do carry these and they are cheaper then the stealerships scan.
Usually when the wheel speed sensors are bad it will trip the "trac off" light and the ABS or one of the other service lights.
