3M automotive spot putty

Just found a tube of 3M automotive spot putty in my garage and it seems pretty good yet. Has anyone used this on plastic or should I primer then putty?

I use Bondo brand automotive spot putty. It should be very similar. It actually melts the plastic a bit and creates astrong bond. it should deform any underlying plastic if you apply it thinly and evenly. Be careful if you're applying to thin pieces of styrene though. The solvents are very strong in automotive type finishing materials. You won't have to prime first, but the spot putty can still be applied over primer because it's strong enough to dissove the primer and still bond to the plastic.

Automotive stuff is very strong in odor so follow directions and use with adequate ventilation!

You know, here in Hawai'i, Mauka means "mountain side."

The color is green. I'm from Mililani "Mauka".
