Hi guys,

For years I've wanted to do a third generation Z28 Camaro model. I think the years the real car were produced was '82 to '92, but I could be incorrect.

Basically I'd like to know if anyone can tell me which brand of kit is the best out there, whether it's still in production or not - from my research I'm not sure any are in production anymore, but a few do pop up on ebay from time to time.

Anyway, can anyone tell me the best and worst of these kits?
Any assistance appreciated.
Cheers all,
M

P.S. For those unsure of the type I mean, you can see a pic here:

to me one of the best small scale ones is the amt 83 camaro....it was produced that one year, and its better than all other amt camaro kits produced since(3rd gen wise)
here is the kit..

great kit, no t-tops, includes a cool wide body kit, some wide minilites, and a cross ram induction setup like bumblebee has in the new transformer movie(77 Camaro BB)as optional parts. I've got one and I was very pleased with it.

I can vouch for the goodness of the AMT Camaro kit as well. I bought some for parts when I broke various odds and ends on my Knight Rider Trans Ams back in the early 90s. The T-tops never fit correctly and the chrome headlights are goofy, but the all-important suspension fits easily, and the engine is molded well. Hehe, all the kits I ever bought had a "twin turbo" kit that was a simplified draw-through system. All of the Camaros I saw also had optional hood scoops and headlight covers as well.

Here's my build of a buddy's car using the AMT kit, for the most part it went together well, and the kit is quite detailed. I built it several years ago, it's not quite up to my standards today, mind you :p
