:banghead: I have a 98 Metro that would not start from the ignition switch. Someone had installed a starter button. Well all of a sudden she shut down and wouldn't start. Checked everything and found a hidden alarm. Disconnected the alarm and reconnected the ignition to starter wire and now the vehicle turns over from the key again. But I still have no fire from the coil packs. The motor is a 1.3 liter with a automatic transmission. These are the items that I have replaced with no results. The coil packs, computer, crank and camshaft sensors. If anyone knows or have any information that can help me. Please post a thread or email me. I am about to loose my mind.:runaround: :banghead:

make sure the cam is turning, cam belt may have stripped or broke

:thinkerg:After I posted today I thought of that. :iagree: I opened the oil filler cap and had someone turn it over but I could only see the front of the cam. It crossed my mind that the end of the cam could be broke. I was going to pull the cover but something took my attention away from it. I think I'll go out there after I eat and tinker with it for a while. I'll let you know what I find.

Okay, the cam is fine and the belt is in good shape. I question if it is in the wiring where the alarm was installed. There was also another black box that I don't think was associated with the alarm. The box was under the dash with the alarm control module and it had one power wire and a antenna wire that ran up the side of the driver side windshield pillar with a circuit board at the end of it. Does anyone else have this same box or could it be this box the used car dealers have to shut the vehicle down? Also can anyone direct me to the fuse box, computer and ignition wiring diagrams?:runaround:
