I have a '91 S-10 2.8 V6 and I am trying to remove the power steering pump pulley to get to the bracket bolts to replace the water pump. How the heck does that pulley come off? It has a lare allen bolt through the center but I can't get it to turn in either direction. Any information on which way this bolt is threaded and how the pulley comes off would be greatly appreciated.

not real familiar with the 2.8 but on most v-6 and v-8 engines there is a specific pulley puller tool. Most of those pullies are pressed on, you use the puller to put it on and pull it off. as for the allen in the middle, i don't know what that's about, and with that setup, you may not need that tool.

is a press on pulley, not sure why they cast the allen head in there, but a little deeper in the shaft is a threaded section to thread in the installer...the local auto parts store should have them for rent, or pretty cheap to buy
