2002 Brake Question

I recently bought a 2002 Ranger Edge with 43000 miles. Love the truck. The only question I have is the brakes. Even though the brakes seem to be working fine, I just don't feel like they stop me like they should. I did adjust the rears up. I have also put in new brake fluid by gravity bleeding the truck. Last night I pulled a front wheel and the pads look new. On another ranger forum the suggestion was more aggressive pads. So what disc pads are you guys running on your truck?? Or any other suggestions?

Could be that you've got air in the system. Does the pedal feel spongy? Also maybe your new brakes have not set in yet especially if you have ceramic pads.

if the pads look new - how do the rotors look - I have had problems with these trucks and brake performance when I get a bad cut on the rotors. MUST have good bits in the lathe when machining the rotors.
