i declared war on 1 of the 2 trees in front of the house for the very reason that they were hiding it. the other tree's day is coming up real soon! i'll try and take some pics later today...i know tony already asked about some when i was talking about the war on the roses.
which by the way...the roses started resprouting back up at the end of where i planted the new plants :banghead:

Well it’s different when you’re married…all monies are shared…but going to do something
I’d have to cut down these trees and grade that area…I don’t even want to talk about the cost because it’s a slope going up to the street

I would suggest making a driveway but that seems like a long way to fill with cement. Gravel driveways are kind of a pain in the ass if you ask me. we had one when I was little and the little rocks got everywhere and made lawn care a dangerous task sometimes

I have a goal post for b-ball in my driveway adjacent to the garage. It's old and I measured it and it's actually 10.5 feet from the ground to the rim. The previous owner dude was sorta tall, kinda old and I guess not good at math? Anyway, I'm not a hoops fan but I reckon I'll cut out the existing rusty rim and reattach a fiberglass backboard to the existing one at the correct height (since the one on there isn't moving without cutting it off the rusted metal backing plate affixed to the pole. The pole is permanently in the ground and cannot be moved.... sorta shaped like an upside down J...
BLU CIVIC
07-24-2007, 05:16 PM
i thought about painting the pole we have...but that means sanding off all the rust...it's just fine the way it is

Utilities is a house can add up quick. Our utilities right now cost as much as our rent does. We can find an apartment that with the utilities it will come up to what we pay for rent here.
Granted, I do like going in the back yard to work on my cars...even though I just started doing that last week. I just finally started working on that car last week, had it for a yr or so now. Wish my hatch was over here so I could get it done.

Hows the legend handle? Been interested in driving one of those since I tore down so many at the salvage yard. I don't think they would handle like a normal FWD, 90% of the weight is behind the axles :) Seems everyone around here has problems getting them stopped, they all had front end damage.

jeff you deffinately need to come visit again, hey!
tony, the legend has dual piston calipers. if people can't stop them then they shouldn't drive. i <3 the legend. for being a big ol' car it's suprisingly nimble. the 6th gear is cool on roadtrips. it gets good gas mileage. i could go on :pimp:
BLU...if you remember pics of the old pad, i never had grass before. i really appreicate it now. it was worth all the hard work to get it to grow.
the tree on the right side (of pic) i chopped way back a couple of months ago. thinking about removing it. the other tree i call the furby tree. it constantly sprouts up & down the tree. i have to cut it back every couple of months or it looks like a furby. that tree is coming down next summer for sure. i'm pretty sure 50,000 birds live in it. no car in the driveway is safe. you will be in the middle of washing your car when more bird poop appears. :swear:

I figured they would be pretty nimble. Like I said, I was under them all the time and finally the axle location hit me, there is like half a foot of motor in front of the axles, the rest is behind them. Haven't actually seen a 6 speed yet though, heard they are really rare. Forgot they were dual pistons calipers, just about everyone that came in the yard had the front end smashed in. I think its just too much car for most of the people are here, lol. :)
Alright, sorry for the thread jack. It is a really nice house though Ami, and I just noticed the pink thing in your chandeliers :)

I have some major yard work to do...but i'm not doing it till fall, or winter...weeds have overgrown too much and the biggest part of the yard that i need to do i can't get a mower into it...thinking about expanding the driveway also...well making another entrance off to the side b/c we have one narrow entrance and if there's more that 3 cars in the driveway, someone has to back their car up...and there's 2 dead pines at the enrance of the driveway that need to be removed
