Mass Air Flow Sensor Troubles!!!! Help!

I bought an 01 Ford Ranger 3.0 last year, and the first night i had it, it got broken in to, it had an after market intake system which they stole. I went online and bought some high performance Mass Air Flow sensor to go with my new intake system that i bought to replace the stolen one. As soon as i installed it my Check engine light came on but i just thought it was no big deal because it was an after market part. Turns out it was the wrong sensor, so last week i bought the correct MAF for my ranger but now i cant get the check engine light to go off now, i went to autozone and used thier scanner to erase the code but it keeps coming back on "check engine"

I have to get my truck smogged by next week, how can i get that check engine light to say off. scanner reads "MAF or VAF... A curcuit Low imput", why is it still saying that? i have the right MAF now.

Anyone out there that can help me out??
