Changing windshield hinges on my wrangler from factory to chrome. Having some problems with thickness. Can anyone offer any useful sugestions???

Need more info. Too thick or too thin?
If they are too thin try shimming with gasket material available at your auto parts supplier. It's available in paper or other man made materials that won't compress and in different thicknesses.
At Manhattan Supply Company you can get metal shim material available in brass, Aluminum, stainless etc. If you order before 6pm you get it the next day, and they take Credit cards.
