Cone Intake on 96 w/ Automatic

I just installed a new cone filter on my 96 Maxima and am getting much more exhaust than usual. Is this normal when first installing the filter, or did I do something wrong. If someone can help me out, I'd appreciate it.

more air in = more air to get out

97wvmax is absolutely right. When I got my airfilter installed i had more exhaust coming out, but when I had midpipe installed, i had even more exhaust fumes. Thats normal, bro. :smoka:
