Hi,
I'm looking for some advice as I'm a total newbie at buying cars.
I've got a deposit down on a 1.4 Hyundai Getz, it's only 8000 Australian Dollars (pretty cheap) and it's only one year old. The only thing I'm worried about is that it's done 114,000 kms (about 70,000 miles I think).
It's $2000 less than similar cars with less mileage.
It was previously used as a company car so I'm guessing that it was well maintained. The car looks perfect and brand new. I checked the oil and some other simple things and it all seems fine.
Would you touch a car that had done so many kms in such a short amount of time, or do you think it would be OK?
Thanks!

They're probably mostly highway miles which is much better for the engine than city miles. But still, parts will start going out soon, and if the warranty isnt there to cover them......

Company cars get the hell beat out of them...I mean it's not owned by the person driving it so why not have some fun with it, also most of the time the company pays for fuel too so from a stop light you might as well get on it real good. Bottom line...Don't buy a company owned car.
