Help!...

I have a 1989 Camaro IROC Z28 convertible with a lot of problems...

First... The driver front caliper keeps locking up. When first starting on this car I found it to be siezed and not working at all but now since replacment the caliper locks up the wheel and will not release. It seemed like a kinked brake hose at first but upon further inspection the hoses and lines were fine WTF?!

Second... After running the car and driving around we'd park for a little bit and then try to start it up again and nothing would happen. I've been told by someone else that the starter could be bad but that just didn't sit right with me. After reaching normal operating temp it turns into a no-start.

That's all I have for right now...
Thank you for any help and input.

Replace the brake hoses, all of them. The sticking caliper is most likely from a hose that has collapsed internally. The no start when warm/hot is probably the starter. When it does it get up under the car with a hammer and hit the back end of the starter a few times and try starting again. If it starts then, the starter is bad.

I had the same two problems with my 92...

The locking caliper is in fact due to a collapsed hose there. Replace all the soft lines and you'll see much nicer brake response.

It sounds like the starter is more than likely going bad... Try what Morley said to do...

Oh yeah... And please use the subforums...
