HELP! My car doesn't like to start...

Ok so my car doesn't start sometimes. It turns over fine... it's just missing that last little oomph to get it started. The first time it didn't start I had my cell phone charger in and it didn't start. The voltage guage was fine and it turned over perfect... so I took the charger out and it started (probably coincidence). So like 3 weeks later it happened again.. took the charger out.. didn't start... floored the gas pedal... started. Then 2 days later I was at the mall... no start again... I tried at least 15 times and it turned over perfect, the voltage went town to like 9 but it cranked over just fine. so I had security jump it and it started just fine. Got the battery tested and it's perfect.... wtf??? Could it be the DIS module???? (The plugs/wires changed 2 years ago along with the alternator, new coils and MAF)

It would help to know what year, model, and engine you have.

I agree with blue bowtie but by what you say.......hmmmmm, it looks like like a very insignificant short that is messing your modules(if no distributor) or your fuel pump relays.

i question. or comment. make sure the battery cables are clean! and tight! :P

Sorry.. I have a 1996 3.8L v6... and we switched out the DIS module 2 years ago... and I still haven't had it not start on me since the mall incident. I am trying to run it as often as I can so it won't start so that we can see what the issue is

yeah thats a good question too lol...stranger stranger lol..just playing. hmm i had a 96 3800 once upon and time and the only time the car didnt wanna start up is when the vats system was going out....also it happend when the maf was jacked up 2.... maybe u need to check your coil packs i just dunno....hows the opti in that car?

vats system???? (translate for a girl maybe???) and I did replace the MAF, but it was with one that was in a junkyard.... and i don't think i have an opti in mine... and all the coils are brand spanking new.....

I think I might just take a student loan out next year and get the new camaro....of course this time a v8 (not making the v6 mistake ever again).... it would save me a lot of headaches!
