Throttle Position Sensor set too high

I have a 93' Buick Regal Gran Sport 3.8L with 196000 miles, about three months ago I had the Check Engine light come on. It would come on occasional at best, some times not for a week, and when it came on you could feel a change in the gas pedal. It even died a couple of times sitting at a stoplight. My step dad has a code reader so I asked him to check it out, the code reader came up with Throttle Position Sensor set too low. I bought a manual and it told me that they are not adjustable. So I replaced the TPS, and reset the code and it ran like a champ for about two months. Now my light is back on, so we checked for the code again and now it's telling me that the TPS is set too high. I am at a loss, do I replace the TPS again or could there be something else causing it to malfunction. The light is coming on and going off a lot more frequently than before, probably about every five or ten minutes. I hope someone will be able to come up with some ideas for me to try.:banghead: Thanks in advance.

Welcome to AF, did any one try and adjust the base idle? Second, try cleaning the throttle body, you may need a full scan to look at the tps readings.

Nope, I have not had any problem with the accelerator, yet.
