996 GT1 vs. Viper GTS

Which one would you take and why?

I would take the Porsche 996 GT1 because it handles better and I like the looks of it.

Tough call. Neither are really my cup of tea, but I think I'd take the Viper. I'm just not attracted to porsches.

No, not happy. It would be too easy of a choice, so I wouldn't have anything to really think about. I prefer a challenge:D

Isn't a GT1 Porsche a bit of an unfair comparison? What about making the Viper an ACR or something?

Ok there is one I thing I don't get. Do you guys remember the 993 version of the GT1. The one that won Lemans. It cost a whopping 950,000 bucks. Now that car will absolutely murder a Viper, it won't even be close. Ferrari was so affraid of the Porsche 911 GT1 that they made the only 4 buyers of the F50GT(not a regular F50) sign a contract saying they will NEVER race a 911 GT1 on any track at any time. Now this leads me to my point. I haven't heard of a 996 GT1 but if Porsche has one then shouldn't it be an absolute monster even faster than the 993GT1 which is one of the most fastest and feared cars ever. Now would comparing a Viper to it be a smart idea, seriously? Comparing the Viper to a GT3 or a GT2 would be fair but come on a GT1? They only Viper in my head right now that could be comparable to a Porsche 911 GT1 is the Viper GTSR (Team Oreca Viper) but to bad Dodge deosn't have a road version of that.

996 GT1? I have never heard it called that, but it is based off of the 996 body style, so yes I'd take that over a viper!

Yes, there is a 996 GT1 only it's called a 911 GT1. It's in NFS5 (I'm not going off that info) and one was for sale for 950K but there's two versions, street and race. Either one would smoke a Viper.

Well I don't know of it. The only GT1 that I know was a based on the 993 body style. That car will probably smoke any car on the track. You have to be insane comparing a Viper GTS to it. It's like comparing Micheal Jordan to a little 10 year old kid in basketball.

i kno the brand new 911 GT2 that jus came out is jus as fast as the viper
and i think thas the fastest porsche that porsche ever made!

Isnt it a bit unfair to compare the Viper against the GT1. the viper stands no chance. the GT1 mite not be Mclaren F1 quick in a straight line but its still way quicker than the viper, and all Europeans know the Vipers have never been fond of corners;) . The Porsche will beat pretty much any other car on the road for cornering except for maybe the Mercedes CLK-GTR and the Dauer 962
