I haven't really done any real hunting...just shooting vermin in a barn really. But I LOOOOVE to shoot! I've got a Glock17, Remington 870, and every now and then I get to shoot my friend's dad's .38 special, 44 Magnum, and 45 cal. XD. I'm hoping to pick up one of the 40 cal. XD's here pretty soon.

Same here. I just own an older 12 ga. shotgun to shoot woodchucks, possums, etc. and occasionally fire off a warning shot to keep the deer away from certain parts of my property. I let some neighbors hunt during the respective seasons on my property, anything from deer, turkeys, rabbits, squirrels, etc. I've never really had the time in the past to hunt, but my neighbor is totally different. he literally eats, breathes and sleeps hunting during open season on deer,(whether it be archery, gun, or muzzleloading season.)

I used to hunt a lot a few years ago but my huntin' buddy moved away so I haven't gone in a while. A couple guys at work hunt deer/turkey I should go with them sometime.

I shoot for the military part of my job but I also like to mess around with handguns. I own a GLOCK17 and 45 CAL. I want to get more into MP5s etc. but they're a pain in the ass to acquire.

I shoot competively ISSF (international) style pistol which is what they shoot in the olympics. There are some national records with our team's name on them, so we might have put a round or three downrange. :)

Those things are heavy as hell. I had to carry one of those for three weeks during a field excercise. I stay with my M4 Carbine thank you very much. Sick ass weapon though.

I love it...wouldn't take anything else.

The M4 is too tiny and toyish for my liking plus 200rnd bursts are super fun no matter how many times you fire it

both have totally different applications too. For sweeping out enemy infantry the M249 would be a much better choice. But for urban close quarters combat, the M4 is my cup of tea. Are you in the military or something?

Yes I am.
I'm with 2PPCLI, don't know if you've heard of em.

Actually the new C-9A2's or M249E4 are a lot smaller, and more maneuverable in close quarter combat than the older ones and still offers the same support in open field combat as well.

Given the M4 carbine is by far easier to handle and use for FIBUA type combat, the new variant of the M249 does the same thing with less mag changes which is a life saver!

Cool man. Is that the same as our National Guard? It seems like you're assigned to a certain area of the country. I haven't shot the m249E, a lighter and more manueverable M249 would be a God send. I think our Army and Marines get all the nice guns. Navy gets the nice Technology and missles. That's how it goes I guess.

No I'm in the Canadian Military. I'm actually headed for tour in Feb 08 so I don't think it's like the National Guard at all :D. I'm in the army so I get to shoot all kinds of guns in all kinds of ways...super fun

That's what's up. Hopefully they take care of their people better than some of the U.S. Army. My father retired from there, he was a tanker. He said all the teamwork and "spirit de corps" is gone. Good luck with that tour man. Are you going with an American units?

not going with any American units although our battlegroup will be working with the USAF a lot for close air support and medivacs.

Oh really? My pops went over there two years ago and he was in the mountains the entire time so I figured that's what it was like. That's a little better. At least the enemy won't be above you every time you fight them
