has anyone ever done a battery relocation to the trunk in a 95 neon. Can i just get gelcelled battery and run 4 gauge wire through the car back to the engine compartment?

if you get a low gauge wire, im not sure which one would be best.. get the biggest, lowest resistance wire you can that can handle the amount of current a neon is gonna make/need.. prolly upwards of a 100 amps.. and then wire it straight back to where the battery used to be, it should be fine. however. make sure you do NOT run it under carpeting, doing so could result in rubbing out the insulation and then that would cause a giant fire..etc etc..and be catastrophic.. etc.
make sure the batterys also really secure in the trunk so its not gonna move around, spill, or short circuit onto a body part.
i really dont recommend doing a trunk-battery reloc. unless youre gonna race it on the track, its not a DD and youre never gonna use the trunk! there are better mods you can do for the amount of danger/effort involved... its prolly better to just get a CF hood.. more weight lost.. etc.
make sure you get a big-ass battery, or a red-top too.

A dry cell, 2 gauge wire and this how-to, should help...
