I haven't heard much talk about this car, i think it's 1996-1999, was it bad? seems like people just talked about the 3.2TL

It's not bad just that it was never became a big seller like 3.2TL!

i read that it had an I-5 i thought that was kinda weird... not many cars have 5 cylinders... and the 3.2 has a V6

i also found that the 2.5 makes 180hp while the 3.2 makes 200hp (for that generation)

What's so suprising? The concept car that lead to the creation of S2000 also had a I5 engine option.

It also had 2.5L displacement but makes much more power.

I have a 96 Acura 2.5 TL. It's a badass car. IT has 186 HP not 180. It's very fast and comfortable. 3.2 TL has 200 HP.

The Acura 2.5TL has a base hp of 176@6300rpm and 170 ft lbs of torque at 3900rpm.

Acura's 3.2TL has 200hp@5300 rpm and 210ft lbs of torque @ 4500rpm.

 I have a 96 2.5 TL. It's the best car I've ever had! I have a 99 Jaguar, and Audi, and a Legend. If I had to choose which one to keep I'd keep the TL all day!

My buddy had a '96 2.5 TL all stock...awesome car. Dusted the street racers in the city. Too bad the cost so much to maintain. $500 for a headlight unit. Blew the engine, changed a few sensors and gaskets, ran for another 2 years before trading it off.

Hmm. I've had mine for 4 years and spent only about $350.00 in repairs. $300 was for a new muffler. The rest was for a broken sidemarker light. As for the headlight unit, I have an OLD Audi (Now that's a FAST Car, but a money pit!) that's about the same. Overall, I'm pretty pleased with this car.
