Leganza 2.0 DOHC Auto Wont start

Car driven through 6 inches of water at 30 miles per hour, parked. Restarted 3 hrs later no problem. parked somewhere else for 1.5hrs. Lots of heavy rain.
Car wont start -turned ignition repeatedly- engine turned over and peated out almost immediately - battery went flat evenually - tried jump starting - no joy
Checked cam belt - ok
Any ideas?
