First of i am in high school and i want some subs that will be heard from a mile away. i want somethin that gonna knock. also i wanna know if i can get that kind of performance with 2 12" subs and this enclosure http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_7527_Sonic+Sub+Box-+2BA12-3.0.html :screwy:
Any help is appreciated. please give me some goo subs that will give the performance i want. I have about a $1000 budget. Thanks in advance

NOTHING
Prefab bandpass enclosures are some of the worst enclosures on the market. even the ones that come loaded arent made for the subs that are in them. Best suggestion concentrate on your subs first then decide on enclosure. either sealed or ported. A good custom made bandpass enclosure will take alot of time, planning and designing.

Kicker subs are essentially inexpensive SPL. May wanna look into those and stick them into a ported box. Audiobahns (higher end) same thing and they are usually better in ported enclosures. You don't wanna deal with bandpass.

if you listen to a lot off hip-hop,
you can use a bandpass box because the energy is focused around the same frequencies...
get your subs first and then get a box built or otherwise that mates well with your subs...

bandpass boxes are like 7th order enclosures, they are very picky about exact volume and port sizes. Worse yet, since the vehicle itself is an enclosure it will be even more difficult to get it right. Best to stick with a good sealed or simple ported box.

bandpass boxes are extremely frustrating
i had to rebuild one 6 times before it worked right
every measurement has to be exact or you just wasted wood
