01 fuel starvation problem

I have an 01 sport with about 77,000 miles on it. I purchased it about 2 months ago with 75k on it.
Since owning it, I have encountered a problem with the engine just cutting out on me for no apparent reason. It usually happens when I am coming to a stop or stopped at a light. But it has also happened while driving with my foot on the gas. The engine will cut out for a split second then come back on by itself. Most times tho, I have to restart it and it starts just fine. Sometimes the CEL will come on, but most of the time it doesn't. It doesn't seem to happen util I get to about a third of a tank of gas left.
I have tried the dry gas and Chevron injector cleaner that you put in the gas with no success.
Any idea what is going on? Any help is appreciated.:banghead:

Best to get a code checker and get the code when it it malfunctioning.
Possiblities:
CPS
TPS
Harness connection loose or corrosion

Aloha:
It was in fact the CPS. My mechanic ran a code and put a new one in today. He is going to drive it for a few days and make sure that in fact was the problem.
Thanks for your help!
