If your in the state of California and you have a deposit on a "Z", I hope you have an ORDER NUMBER already. Nissan of America has cut back the dealers awarded allocation greatly. My allocation went from 12 to 2.

An allocation is is a grouping of cars given to a dealership. Most of the time it is determined by productivity on pre-existing models. The 350Z is based on Altima sales Generally. Depending on how many the district gets from the factory those cars will be given to dealerships accordingly. If a car is a total production of 3,500 nation wide and 25% of them have been presold befor car one is produced the remaining will be spread out throughout the model year sparingly. Those who meet the CSI (coustomer service index) and sales goals gets the volume. Dealers then get to select from the availible produced cars released for that allocation period for that month. thas how your "dealer allocation order" is filled since the custom factory build program has been over since january 2002.
