:banghead: Hi guys:
i have a 96 camry LE that makes a loud knocking noise when in gears only, the engine sounds normal and perfect in park, but as soon as i move the vehicule in reverse it starts that poping loud noise, first i tought it was the cv joints, but they r in great shape. i can not drive it at the moment. what is it guys, please help anyone. the transmission fluid is there and it is redish clear.
please give me an idea before i get ripped off.
thanks to all.

You need to provide some more information in order for people here to offer any suggestions. Which engine is in the car? How many miles are currently on the car? How has the car been maintained? Was anything recently done to the vehicle? Does this knocking occur in reverse only or also in drive? Where does this knocking sound seem to come from; the engine, transmission or could it be in the exhaust system? We need more clues.
