So I hit a deer this morning on my way to work and the only things (that I can see so far) that were damaged were my air dam and my driver side fog light. I know the air dam is held to the bumper by a series of plastic retaing clips. My question is, how iin the hell do I get those retaining clips out without cutting them off? I'd like to reuse them with my new air dam so I won't have to buy new ones.

you take a flathead screw driver and pull the pin down. then squish the top of the clip and pull it out of the hole. It says how to do it in the owners manual and i think there are pictures.

You will probably end up destroying them anyway. Auto parts stores sell them for a couple of bucks.

If the clips on the 99-02 and 03-07 airdams are the same i dont see why they would get destroyed. I took my airdam off maybe 5 or 6 times and i havent broken a single clip.

thanks a lot for the replies. I picked up my new air dam today and it comes with brand new clips. I probably won't mess with it till this weekend, but I'm really glad to know I don't have to be extra careful with the current clips.
