I had had my wife's Sebring in the shop numerous times for very intermittently hesitating and sometimes stalling. They had told me that it threw a MAP sensor code but didn't want to replace it since they couldn't get it to mess up once they cleared the code. I found out that the sensor was only $60 at Pep Boy's so I purchased one and installed it, took me all of five minutes. Well, it's been over a month now and my wife has not had a single hesitation and has not stalled one single time. We had been living with this problem for a long time so it's nice to finally get it fixed.

Here's a pic of the old sensor:

Pic's kind of fuzzy but what I think the problem was is that the two o-rings had shrunk over time so there was not a good seal between the sensor and engine block.

MAP sensor or manifold absolute pressure sensor. This is from my Chilton's manual.

My wife's Sebring has the 2.5L engine so looking at it from the front of the car it's on the left hand side near the firewall. Two small bolts hold it in place. Her car is a 96 not sure how different it might be on the 03. Hope this helps.
