Hmmm... At first I was thinking a Lotus Esprit TT, but I don't think they made that kind of power or made 200+ mph.
Are we talking street legal cars or race cars?

My bad... it was a dead give away with the V6 TT and the 220mph specs.
As a kid, the XJ220 was one of my favorite cars.
In school like 4th grade, I had some folders with cars on the covers of them and on the inside jacket was a quick snyposis of what the car had power wise and some general specs. One of the folders was the Jag.

I was fortunate enough to ride in one back in 1993. Jaguar took a number of journalists around the Nazareth Raceway at speed with a professional driver behind the wheel. I have the whole run on video tape somewhere.

You son of a bitch...:banghead:
Very well... let's keep this circus going.
Clues:
Was the first production gasoline car to have fuel injection.
Made 240hp.
It's name is based upon it's engine displacement.
It had a steel body, but the hood, doors and trunk were aluminum.
Was mostly made in convertibles, yet the hardtop versions were nicknamed after a bird.Probably gave too much. This should be easy...

I want to say DeTomasso Pantera...
But the engine size on those was 351... and more than just six were built. And I believe they were quoted to do 170mph.
Hmmm...
Definately isn't a Ford GT40. Because the Italians wouldn't of designed it to compete against their own Ferrari's... and once again the engine size is off. And the production MKIII GT40, 31 were produced. Interesting...

07-18-2007, 11:53 PM
Well, no shit!
I know I'm wrong, I'm just working out the problem... I'm trying to figure out who would use a 390 cubic inch engine. Which, back then was most likely Ford (or possibly AMC?) based. But who would be crazy enough to do that?
Was this a race car or production car?

Datsun is Japanese...
Being that he said European, I'm going to go with the Volkswagen Karmann Ghia as my guess. They didn't have much power, although they were made from 1955 to 1974.

Nope
Edit: New clue:
It later came in a spider edition as well that was bumped up to 49hp and allowed for a new top speed of 145km/h. It could also be found in the form of a coupe or van too.

Nothing, but it's a clue as to where to look for the answer. Just like my John Travolta clue was a hint to look into TVR, but not exactly for the Tuscan.
