Convertable top?

Hey Guys. well im stuck, so much money and time into this thing, and
now im stuck. I have switched both fuse blocks, and the complete
harness from the 95 4g63 talon to the 97 Spyder GS(now with the 4g63). I
have all exterior lights (with the exception of the fog lights cause
its a different clip) the interior dome light, the door beep (when you
open it) and the dash lights. I DONT have the convertable top, and the
windows and locks. I was wondering if anyone had any info on the
convertable top harness(try to be as specific as possible) or any info
on the windows and locks. Im slowly getting irratated. Im so close to
being done. The talon harness has clipped in everywhere except for ONE
clip. The old Spyder harness has a total of four clips that the talon
doesnt. PLEASE HELP thanks!!!

Do you need pictures? I also have the shop manual. I'm not sure which part of the harness you need... There is one that runs along the electronics for the top which are mounted behind the rear seat. The windows are a bit different as The spyder also has back windows. I noticed if you don't have the passenger side harness plugged in none of the windows work.

Hey thanks soo much for responding, you have been the most help so far. K now that i know that the clip going to the rear seat is the top, how do i take off the old wire for that clip off the old harness. It splits. One goes to the ecu and the other im not sure yet. Is the top controlled by the ecu? I hope not cause i have a 95 talon harness in there. Also can you be more specific on the passenger side harness.

I do not believe the top goes through the ECU (that I know of..) The harness's I think should be interchangeable without trouble.

What I noticed was when I had the passenger side switches are routed through the drivers side. If the drivers side is unplugged the passenger windows do not work. The rear windows I think are on a separate harness at least up until they leave the door.

Their is a harness behind the rear seat. It runs to the switch in the trunk for the override of the motors and also to two or 3 boxes mounted behind the back seat. If you can take a picture of the part you are unsure of I can take off my back seat and take photos for you sometime this weekend.

SUCCESS!!! We got the windows to work, along with stereo. It was something with the talon fuse box and the old spyder fuse box. We put the old one and bam...worked right away.

Next. we put power to the battery and tried the top and now we can hear clicking out of the back seat where the convertable top relay is. It just doesnt turn on the motors to open it. Any ideas?

make sure the switch in the trunk is set to automatic. It's inside the rear taillight . You will hear a click but motors will not go if that happens. On mine I also usually have to have it in neutral. It doesn't seem to want to go up if I'm in 1st with the clutch in.

If the motors spins but top doesn't go up then you have a problem with the motors and you need to put some pins through them.
