Alright well i bought this camaro in January. new trans new cam, gears and chain. all the receipts where in the glove box when i purchased it.

anyways my probs are.

1. The trans doesn't engage until like 3k rpm its like in nutral until it hits 3k rpm. its annoying! :banghead:

2. i put a white faces glow guage in my dash and my speedo doesn't work at night until you drive the car for 10 minutes. then it works fine. and only at night it stops working like that.. during the day its fine all the way thru.

any suggestions would be great.

i have the white face gauges too. i think the problem is that the gauge overlay is rubbing the needle.. it needs to 'warm up' so to speak? try press the clear face DOWN sort of hard when the needle doesnt work.. if it works after that, youre gonna have to take it off and then glue it to the face..

dont do it tho, cuz youre gonna have crappy stock faces after.. the guy before me did that so i cant take mine of anymore.

also, you sure the trans isnt made to have a high stall TCc?

I figured it was something to do with "warming up". but i'm afraid if winter comes along it won't work at all. I don't drive it in the snow but when its snowless and cold, I won't beable to contain myself from not driving it.

So maybe i should just get another gauge set up and glue this one down.
and have another stock one for backup?

And for the trans, it possble it could have a TCc. but i also read a few months ago you can buy these eletronic tuners for your computer. (about $300) and change your revlimiter, shift times, fuel mixture, etc etc. i'm figuring due to the new trans being put in it was never timed. But i don't wanna run out and buy one if it won't help.
