Please help me...Car doesn't start

Ok this is my problem. I have had my malibu since Feb. About 3 weeks ago a lady backed right up into my door and put a big dent in it near my mirror on the driver side door. The very next day I go to leave for work and my car won't start. It sounds like maybe it won't "catch". I look on my dashboard and it is blinking "anitheft system". I sit there for about 15-20 min and FINALLY it started. Yesterday I go to leave work and it does it again. Today it did it again. Does anyone know if it has a kill switch in it? On the driver side door if it does? It just seems awfully odd that the day after the lady hits it it starts doing this. If not the kill switch could it be my key? Please help!

About 10 threads down theres one called PassLock System. It sounds to me like that is what your problem is and that thread will explain what you need to do to disengage it. As far as your door goes theres nothing in the door that would cause that, but then again, we are all victims of the same malibu monster. Mine has recently decided it doesnt like to travel at interstate speed, it would rather shut off instead :banghead:. Hope I helped!

As stated there is a thread on how to disable the Passlock. If you really dont want to get into that, you can try using a different key, sometimes if the key is worn it doesn't catch right away. Also make sure you have a good connection on your battery. If none of those work see the thread on how to disable your Passlock.
