input a/t input speed sensor on 2001 venture

Can anyone tell me where the a/t input shaft speed sensor is on a 2001 venture. I already know where the vehicle speed sensor is and replaced it. Still reading P0717 code.:shakehead

Your Venture has a 4t65e transmission. The input or turbine speed sensor is located inside the trans. It reads off the drive sprocket.

I have the same error code on my 99 Venture. I have not noticed a reduction in performance due to this problem. Is it necessary to get this fixed, as I am tired of pouring money into this car?
