ordered decals for this one today, so I thought I would start on making some parts for it

heres th e seat, I used BMF, cleared with semi-gloss clear to give it a real metal look

this is a Revell kit, its the re-released Dale Earnhardt one, you should be able to find it at any hobby shop. its an older kit, the detail is good on it.
you want thick plastic check out any of the new Revell nascars from 2003 until now, super thick! lol

May I ask, James, why you apply light colors over darken? I ever done the opposite, but I believe you have a good reason ;)

I'm curious also actually. But even in as such a simple thing like a 2-tone mask, you make it look like a prize winner.

no reason, just that I didnt have any yellow paint that day, so I painted red first.:p

I was just going to ask if these older cars had the ignition boxes on the dash or on the floor but I see you already answered it with your progress. This is the best reference I can find on this car. Thanks! I really like the way you detail the interiors and this one is no different.
