Is this the AMT kit? It looks a little soft on detail and thick plastic.

Excellent work on the seat!

this is a Revell kit, its the re-released Dale Earnhardt one, you should be able to find it at any hobby shop. its an older kit, the detail is good on it.

you want thick plastic check out any of the new Revell nascars from 2003 until now, super thick! lol

Great, like ever.

May I ask, James, why you apply light colors over darken? I ever done the opposite, but I believe you have a good reason ;)

I'm curious also actually. But even in as such a simple thing like a 2-tone mask, you make it look like a prize winner.

no reason, just that I didnt have any yellow paint that day, so I painted red first.:p

Impressive start, nice detailing, look forward to seeing more.
Are you using aftermarket stuff or scratching your own?

I was just going to ask if these older cars had the ignition boxes on the dash or on the floor but I see you already answered it with your progress. This is the best reference I can find on this car. Thanks! I really like the way you detail the interiors and this one is no different.
