1998 Knocking

I just purchased a 1998 Z71 and it has a knocking sound. I was told by the dealer that they had put in 1530 oil by mistake and they switched it out yesterday for 1540. It seems to have helped. Does this make any sense? It also has a clicking sound but it only does it between 20 and 55 mph. Any ideas?

Thanks

Hmmmm.....Did you get a warranty? If so, take it back and tell 'em you want it right. If you ignore this, and the warranty expires, you'll be on your own with what could be a serious problem.

Well excuse me! Not everyone is as bright as you seem to be  . If changing the oil weight made a big difference in the sound of an engine knock, there could be a problem in there somewhere. Of course, you already knew that, didn't you.
The ticking noise could be a speedo cable going bad. Oh wait, is that more obvious advice? I'm confused.

Don't knock the advice someone gives. This site is for discussion and input, there's no need for "duh" replies. Maybe next time you need help, no one will answer your thread.
