I am trying to remove the ball joints on the lower control arm. They don't
make thing easy. They are riveted to the arm. Iv'e tryed the sawzal. a drill, and a chisel. Nothing seems to be going my way. Does anyone have some good
advise on removing the rivets? That is of course with out destroying the arm.

Welcome to AF.

Chizel and a punch is what I have used.
Sometimes a die grinder, if you can get it in there.

What year and model ??

It's a 97 SE my daugther decided not to put oil in. Old school me decided to R & R the motor and tranny at the same time. Not so wise. The CV halves can only be removed with the control arm dropped. Thanks for the advice I'll give the chisels another try.

Yea once you get the top or the bottom cut offthe rivets use a steal punch to drive them out with a big hammer.
Watch your hands though ;)
