Hi do you think that I have the same problem that you had?
It ( the sound) happens only when I turn the whell all the way (right or left) but not in straight line as far I know. I will pay more attention next time.
the sound is not very loud but noticeable though.

it happened only when i made right turns, check the castle nut see if tight

Change your rear differential oil. It costs less than $10 a litre, and the problem will go away in about 5oo miles.
I had the same problem with both my 2001 and 2003 CRV's.
It should be done every 60,000 or so anyway.

they found the castle nut loose bad bearings and hub all fixed under warrenty no noise now
