How can I add mileage to the odometer in a 99 Ford Explorer? The odometer was tampered with and shows 20,000 less miles than actual. How can I get the miles back on there? I dont really want to drive another 20K I need to sell this thing.

Take it to a Ford dealer right away if you want it changed. You can be charged with fraud if you try and tamper with it yourself.

Mind telling us how it was tampered with in the first place?

Really though. These things don't just happen. And you'd have to be a moron to buy a car with a known tampered odo.
