1996 Park Ave. front fender question

Are the front fenders of a 1996 Park Avenue the same as the fenders of a 1993 Lesabre? I cracked the driver side on my '96 PA, and the local junkyard has a ton of good 1993 Lesabre fenders, but no Park Avenue fenders... if anyone knows I'd appreciate your help! - mlh

Yes, I believe they are..
I have had bad luck trying to repair a plastic one. It seems not to do as well as just replacing with one without cracks. I think they fit 93-98' or close to it.

3M has some good repair products for plastic fenders, bumpers, and hoods. IIRC, 3M DuraMix 4240 is appropriate for the RIM plastic in the P/A and LeSabre fenders.

I agree the fender can be repaired if it is plastic.My neighbor works at an auto body shop and does it at home too fixing anything plastic instead of replacing.He does repair plastic bumpers too.There are some body parts you cannot get aftermarket.

The 92-96 PA right front fender is a Part # 25609440
The 92-96 LeSabre right front fender is a Part # 25602004

So, the answer to your question is; Yes they are different and may not be interchangeable!

BTW, check out eBay. There is someone parting out a 92 or 93 PA and it was damaged in the rear. Front fenders look fine! :grinyes:

I just happen to have a 94 LeSabre Limited & 96 PAU in the driveway. Even though the fenders are different part numbers, after looking at both cars, they sure do look the same!

The more I looked at them, the more intrigued I became and I had to get a tape measure to check the vertical & horizontal dimensions. Every measurement I took, appears to be the same. The only noticeable difference was in the lower trim and that appears to be a bolt on item.

So in summary, they may be interchangeable, the only way to know for sure would be to try it!:dunno:
