got the frekkin dash bug!

the last 6months out of the 9months I had the new 01 P11, Ive been complaining about noise coming inside the instrument panel each time I would pass about 1700rpm's. well, took some time today and took apart the entire dash to figure out wat exactly was making the buzzing noise... it wasnt the instrument panel, but the top dashboard itself buzzing when it was in a certain angle with the defog vent right by the front winsheild.

rubber o plastic was my first choice, but later went with wood and cardboard (!) to make a big enough cushion to push up on the dash from the instrument panel. (rubber and plastic hardens in cold weather, so probably start buzzing again in the winter time)

WALLA! no more noise. ehehehee, and it cost $0.49 for a stick of basswood. eehehehehe. and the guys at the dealer didnt know sh't wat was wrong with it.

from the driver's seat obviously can't tell I did something to the dash, so very happy with my work. :D

now I can enjoy my P11....finally!!! :frog: nesshishishishishis!!!

yah, I should've just done this the first time. it was getting worse and worse, so I just couldn't take it anymore and took apart the whole darn thing. :p hope my troubles are over :rolleyes:

just wondering, would this apply to a p10 also? because I have exactly the same problem....

maybe... won't know until you take apart your dash.
